We install new fans and replace old ones, and we do the part many installers skip: the box. A ceiling fan cannot hang from a plain light box. It needs a fan-rated brace box anchored to the structure, or the fan will wobble, loosen, and eventually fail.
The box matters more than the fan
A ceiling fan is heavy and it moves. A standard light box is rated for a stationary fixture, not for pounds of spinning blades. Hanging a fan from one is how you get wobble, humming, and in the worst case, a fan that pulls free.
Every fan we install goes on a fan-rated brace box secured to the framing. If your existing box is not rated for a fan, we replace it before the fan goes up. It is a small step that makes the difference between a fan that runs quiet for a decade and one that shakes itself apart.
Remotes and wall controls
Most modern fans include remotes, and we also install wall-mounted controls for rooms where a remote would get lost. We wire fan and light on separate control when you want it, instead of a single switch doing both jobs.

Can you replace my existing ceiling fan?
Yes. We remove the old fan, verify the box is fan-rated, replace the box if it is not, and install and balance the new fan. Most replacements are done in a single visit.
My fan wobbles. Can it be fixed?
Often yes. Wobble usually comes from unbalanced blades, a loose mounting, or a box never rated for a fan. We find the cause, and if the box is wrong, we replace it.
Can you install a fan where there is no existing light?
Yes. We run a new circuit and switch leg to the location and install a proper fan-rated brace box. It is more work than a swap, but it is routine for us.
Do ceiling fans really lower cooling bills?
They lower what the AC has to do. Moving air makes you feel cooler, so the thermostat goes up a few degrees, which adds up over a long cooling season.
Which direction should the fan spin in summer?
Counterclockwise when viewed from below, so it pushes air down onto you. Most fans have a small direction switch on the motor housing. We set it correctly at installation.
